Floral Park Library Exhibition, Artist of the Month
1. Schedule your month with Pat DiComo (516-775-0553).
2. At least two weeks before your month contact Edwina at the Library (516-326-6330) get from her
an Exhibition Agreement form (available on our website or from Edwina). Give Edwina a brief bio (~5
sentences). She will have an announcement of your exhibit placed in the Gateway.
3. The week before your month begins contact Jim, the Libraries custodian (516-326-6330), to
schedule him installing your paintings on the first business day of your month.
4. You will need to number your paintings and have a numbered list of painting titles and prices to
leave at the Library.
5. You will also need a 5 X 7 in. paper sign (the 7 in. is the horizontal side) with your name, title of
exhibit, if any, and contact information that will go into a 5 X 7 in. frame on the front desk. The top of the
frame states “The Floral Park Art League Artist of the Month”. A business card holder will also be
available.
6. Paintings must be framed. They will be placed on top of Book stacks and lean against the wall, not
hung. Depending on the size there may be room for approx. 15-20 paintings. I was able to display 16
canvases, with the average size being 18 in. plus the frame.
7. Remove your paintings on the last Library business day (Mon. – Sat.) of the month. Again contact
Jim for assistance. They have no storage room so your paintings could be damaged or lost if you do not
remove them on time.
Note: If you choose to display your paintings neither the Library nor the Floral Park Art League is
responsible for loss or damage to your paintings.
